I ran in Publix to pick up some baby food that was Buy One Get One so that I could donate it to a local pregnancy center in my area.
See, I don't just shop for the things that I need but for things that I can get that don't cost me and my family much but we can donate it to help others in our community. Donating those items (even while on Unemployment) makes me feel like I'm doing something to help in my community. **You never know what the next person is going through!!
Other places that need our assistance:
Nursing homes (they could benefit from Ensure, Depends, Glucose monitors, etc).
Humane Society (SPCA) (they are always in need of cat and dog food and kitty litter).
Local schools (they can always use hand sanitizer, school supplies--and of course your time).
Church/food pantries (your overflow of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene).
Donating these items doesn't require much because you can get them when they are on sale for little to nothing and you couple the sales with coupons and there you have it!!!
